A Florida State Trooper has been arrested for DUI while on duty. The officer struck a curb and got a flat. When she called for help, her colleague noticed her slurred speech.
STUART, Fla. — A Florida Highway Patrol trooper is accused of drunken driving in a patrol car while on duty. When questioned, she admitted to taking several sleeping pills, the FHP said.
According to the arrest report, Lisa Orshowitz was driving in her patrol car when she hit a curb and blew out a tire Tuesday morning. When she called for help, a fellow trooper noticed she had slurred speech and went out to investigate.
When the trooper arrived at the St. Lucie County courthouse, where Orshowitz had stopped, he noticed she was swaying back and forth, her eyes were bloodshot and her pupils were small, the report states. She also failed several sobriety tests in the breezeway of the… continue reading
