The deputy county attorney from Bullitt County, Stephanie Kelley, has pleaded not guilty to a DUI charge. She was arrested for drunk driving last week.
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The attorney for Stephanie Kelley – the deputy county attorney from Bullitt County who was arrested for driving drunk last week – entered a not guilty plea in court on her behalf Tuesday.
LMPD officers arrested Kelley on Jan. 13 after they say she struck an officer’s cruiser, then took off. According to court documents, Kelly, 36, stopped her car on railroad tracks at Pennsylvania and Frankfort Avenue.
An LMPD officer had to move the car out of the path of an oncoming train.
Police say Kelley’s blood alcohol level was .230 – nearly three times the legal limit. The arrest report indicates she was unsteady on her feet, had bloodshot eyes and told police she had been drinking an hour earlier.
